Rob Hoff Sending it on his Ski-Doo Summit this Spring
It’s that time of year that we are looking forward to sledding with less layers and wearing sunscreen. It is the best time to really explore places you have wanted to go all year and search out some late season pow shots. I want to share with you how I get the most out of Spring conditions.
If you’re riding in the mountains, you’re going to get stuck – no matter how great your sled or riding skills. In this video, I show you the easiest ways to get unstuck. Even if you’re solo on the hillside.
This is the first in a series of videos to help make you a better rider and to enjoy your Ski-Doo snowmobile to the fullest. Ski-Doo Freeride Ambassador Rob Hoff demonstrates some quick tips on technical mountain riding. Riding through trees, using the throttle, getting forward on a steep sidehill, downhill U-turns, and more.
Ski-Doo Helium riding gear is our most high tech yet. Designed specifically for active mountain riding, it’s extremely lightweight and the Sympatex membrane allows more sweat vapor to escape the harder you are working. See what some of our Summit Freeriders – guys who haven’t always chosen Ski-Doo jackets – thought after wearing them last winter.
See the entire selection of Helium Gear – jackets & pants for men and women, boots and goggles at your local Ski-Doo dealer or store.ski-doo.com.
Have you tried the Helium line? What did you think? Let us know in the comments below.
As the snow starts to fall, you should start thinking about what you need to have a great riding season. Consider the ABS avalanche airbag system, demonstrated by Summit Freerider Rob Hoff, which is now available with a Ski-Doo logos.
We’ll have more on the ABS system in a future post.
Well, folks, fall is in the air and people are already talking as if its gonna be another epic repeat of last winter. Lets just hope so! Last season landed us more than 700 inches of snow here in Wyoming, recorded at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. We had powder days stacked up on powder days.
Frontier Films’ “2-Stroke Cold Smoke” (2SCS) movies are some of the sickest sled vids. They’re known for their combination of creative cinematography, breathtaking locations, cutting-edge soundtracks and, of course, the most talented riders. So it’s no wonder the latest installment, 2SCS14, features Ski-Doo Summit Freeriders.
The deep snow stylings of Dan Treadway and Rob Hoff appear in the vid and Dan makes the cover doing a monster drop on his Freeride.
We’re also stoked to announce that we’ll be featuring tons of preview clips and trailers here at Elevation and on the Ski-Doo Mountain Facebook page in the coming months to get you ramped up for winter 2011-12.
